Dave Gutt has been professionally editing for over 20 years. After getting a hands on education with NLEs in a weird barn in Vermont, he now resides in Brooklyn, NY. Dave has edited for such major networks as HBO, MSNBC, VICE, Showtime, Comedy Central, ABC and CNN, as well as for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, NIKE, Hasbro, Disney, Garnier, Gates Notes and The Big East.

Dave specializes in being a jack of all trades. He’s operated a satellite truck, a dub room, wrapped miles of XLR cable and can run a master control board. Dave has also deployed and ran really questionable edit suites all over the world, cutting remotely for crash deliveries in Shanghai, Tokyo, London, Copenhagen and Milan. In the early days of DVD and HD production, he worked internationally directing and editing concert footage for Oasis, Interpol, Wu-Tang Clan, No Doubt, System of a Down, New Order, The Hives and many, many more. In 2012 he spent over a month living just outside Olympic Village in Sochi, working for Fox Sports. And one time Mick Foley told him he had ‘great tenacity.’

This winter and spring, he is supporting the release of BIll Gates’ latest release, Source Code, with a number of social media projects. He also just cut a 10 hour AI audio book which is just about as tricky as you can imagine.
